I shoot a lot of ProRes 4K footage on my iPhone 17 Pro, and my storage used to fill up in minutes. The MagHub Go is a game changer. It snaps right on, and I record directly to the SSD. No dropped frames.
The fingerprint encryption works flawlessly. As a lawyer, I carry sensitive client documents, and having hardware-level encryption that unlocks instantly with my touch is incredible. Highly recommended.
Setup was easy. I put a 2TB SSD in it, and it works seamlessly with both my iPad Pro and iPhone. The magnet is strong enough to stay put.
I was one of the first pledger on the kickstarter campaign started last year and waited patiently, together with many other funders, the delivery of the shell but still today, after almost a year, didn’t receive the SSD card . No replies , no answers but total silence on the kickstarter site! Definitely not a serious firm!
Never got my SSD with product and invoice won’t supply me one. I paid but they ignored my request for the ssd I paid for
I backed this project on Kickstarter and they never sent anyone the SSD that we paid for. They were having trouble with heat issues that they never fixed as far as we heard. Then they told us they couldn’t get SSD‘s because of the AI crunch. We all got screwed and promised to never do business with them again!!
The build quality is premium, matches my MacBook perfectly. The transfer speeds are blazing fast. My only minor gripe is that it gets a bit warm during heavy transfers, but that's expected with NVMe SSDs.
I've replaced my old dongles and bulky drives with just this one device. It's tiny but powerful. The pass-through charging is a huge plus when I'm working at a coffee shop.

It's smaller than a credit card (thicker obviously) but holds 4TB. Amazing technology.
Make sure your finger is dry. If it's wet it might not read, but that's normal for scanners. Otherwise works great.
Don't upgrade your phone storage, just buy this. Much cheaper and reusable.
